Breast Lift

A breast lift is also known as a mastopexy. This procedure is performed in order to uplift or reshape the breasts. Over the years factors such as pregnancy, weight gain and loss, and aging can take their toll on breasts causing the skin to stretch and the breast to sag. The nipple can descend below the crease beneath the breast.

A breast lift removes the stretched skin, reduces the size of the areola (the brown skin around the nipple), and raises the nipple position to give a fuller and perkier appearance to the breast. A mastopexy does leave scars but these are usually covered by bras or bathing suits.
